Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics

The Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics’ (SORCC) main healthcare facility, the White City Rehabilitation Center & Clinics, serves southern Oregon and northern California veterans. It is located at 8495 Crater Lake Hwy in White City, Oregon and can be reached by phone Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at (541) 826-2111, or after-hours  at (800) 809-8725. In addition to this main facility, the system also offers many services in three rural healthcare outreach and community-based outpatient clinics. These clinics are located in Grants Pass, Lakeview and Klamath Falls. The SORCC White City offers 600 residential rehabilitation beds. In addition, they provide area residents with a primary care and mental health outpatient department, meaning residents can seek these services at their conveniently-located community-based outpatient clinics. Other services the SORCC offers include:
  • Rehabilitation Center
  • Substance Abuse Treatment Program
  • Innovative Mindfulness Action Group
  • Extensive Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Program
  • Homebased Primary Care
  • OEF/OIF Program
  • Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Employment
  • Mental Health Clinic with individual and group therapies
  • Native American Veterans Program

  • Green Environmental Management System
The Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) was established at the SORCC in 2005 to act as the facility’s environmental policy, guiding and encouraging all employees to “be good stewards of the environment.” This includes following all environmental guidelines, preventing pollution, conserving energy, reducing waste, and conserving water and other natural resources. However, the GEMS also institutes new and improves current processes to end, minimize or mitigate negative environmental impacts. A committee of GEMS members meet regularly to “evaluate current environmental conditions and also to evaluate new or needed environmental proposals.” The program’s pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and fills hundreds of prescriptions every day. In addition, prescriptions may be refilled by phone or internet. For mail out prescriptions in the White City area, patients can call (541) 830-7563. Long distance callers can dial (800) 809-8725, ext. 7563. Patients can also refill their prescriptions through the My HealtheVet program, which is the VA’s free, online personal health record.
