Dr. Kelly Butnor is an assistant professor of pathology at the Vermont Cancer Center. She is also involved in clinical research and is an affiliate member of the Vermont Cancer Center. Dr. Butnor’s clinical expertise includes surgical pathology and pulmonary pathology. She is board certified in both anatomical and clinical pathology. Her research primarily revolves around testing novel immunohistochemical markers for the diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma and lung cancer. She then graduated from the Duke University School of Medicine, located in Durham, North Carolina, in May 1997, receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree. She undertook both her residency in pathology and her fellowship in pulmonary pathology with the Duke University Medical Center.
