Eugene Community-Based Outpatient Clinic
The Eugene Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) plays a supporting role in the VA Roseburg Healthcare System as one of four such facilities. Patients can find this clinic at 100 River Ave. in Eugene, Oregon. The facility can be reached by phone at (541) 607-0897 or by fax at (541) 607-7573. This CBOC offers patients a variety of primary, preventative and outpatient services during its normal operating hours, which are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This facility does not take walk-in appointments and does not provide emergency medical care.
However, patients in need of inpatient or advanced medical care can receive a referral to the main Roseburg VAMC. This facility offers a comprehensive list of primary, secondary and long-term care options to area veterans. These services include the following:
- Community Reintegration
- General Surgery
- Homeless Housing Program (HUD/VASH)
- Homeless Program
- Infectious Diseases
- Mental health
- Outpatient care
- Primary Inpatient care
- Substance Abuse
- Vocational Rehabilitation
In addition, the Roseburg VAMC maintains a number of affiliations with local colleges and universities. Partnering with these medical education facilities allows the Roseburg VAMC to remain connected and give back to their community, helping train a new wave of medical students on how to care for our veterans.
To help ensure this healthcare system continues to run smoothly, the Roseburg VAMC asks prospective patients to take a number of steps to receive an appointment at one of these facilities. First, veterans must ensure they are eligible to receive VA health care benefits by applying. Patients must also schedule an appointment to gain service, as well as notifying the administration if a change in appointment or cancellation needs to be made as soon as possible to ensure another veteran can take the vacated time slot.
